Only had about an hour available before I hit the road this morning, so I decided to set up a TikTok account for Another’s Good.

I have no specific ideas for TikTok content at this point. Considering the input of the clients over at Hospitality House on the subject, I happily yield to TikTok’s popularity.

It’s been 434 days since my previous post. As you might imagine, a lot has changed.

I am repurposing this site to share my current journey of learning about, connecting with, and contributing to my local community and some of its charitable, non-profit organizations.

Hello, Friends!

Sorry that this whole website is such a mess! I’ll ask for your patience; I’ll try to build out and improve this site as time allows.

As some of you know, my personal schedule has experienced rather radical changes over the last month. With less than two weeks until Thanksgiving, Christmas just around the corner, and a growing list of obligations, I’ll just have to summarize a few brief highlights of my activities.

Thank You!

Let me start by saying THANK YOU to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Burien, for letting me use their magnificent Sunday School building! While my many personal activities remain independent of the church government, I know that the blessings which are now passing into the Burien community would not be doing so if the church hadn’t put the keys to the Sunday School in my hand in the first place.

So, THANK YOU!

Uncertainty About Future Location

While I’ve occupied (had access to)  the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Burien, Sunday School building since June of this year, I have never actually had the green light from the church to fully apply my skill set—limiting the utility of that beautiful space to little more than a highly-restrictive storage unit.

Communication problems and safety concerns have precluded me and the church from fully realizing many strategic opportunities my leasing that building represents. Even now, I do continue to hope that the greater collective might recognize—if only by considering the last four months of my activities—that our mutual interests align, and that I have been a consistent, active, and vocal ally of the church, I now find myself too busy with present opportunities to continue to invest time, effort, and money trying to persuade others of obvious merits.

No one should feel obligated or uncomfortable; readers should know that I really am fine with relocating my operations, if that’s what needs to happen.

For the last few weeks, I have been actively seeking a different, local commercial space to lease. There’s really no other choice at this point—in order to cultivate my community relationships, I have to be free to create content and function professionally, either in the Sunday School building or elsewhere.

Expanding Network–Hospitality House

Yesterday, I finally got in touch with Burien’s Hospitality House. I’m adding them as the fourth main recipients in my donor network, which currently includes Transform Burien, the Highline Area Food Bank, and Communities in Schools.

Videos

Below are some links to the videos I’ve uploaded to YouTube since starting my charitable outreach side-hustle a few weeks back.

I know these are rough, but this whole passion project started pretty spontaneously and has been growing at a respectable pace ever since. If things continue to prosper, I’ll start new social media channels for related content and step up the production value. For now, it’s more important to share the process and progression with my friends and allies than to waste what little time I have available.
